چکیده
This is the first contribution about histochemistry of vegetative and reproductive aerial organs in genus Piper L. malgassicum accumulates alkaloids terpenes epidermis underlying layers parenchyma, both leaves, stems anthers. Some idioblasts appear to contain a large amount secondary metabolites. The micro-anatomical analysis showed peculiar secretory structures anthers ovary. Several lipid aggregates, alkaloid droplets calcium oxalate crystals were observed leaves stems, indicating their role defence strategies, mechanical support, pollinators attraction. In anthers, we elaioplasts whose content suggest an alternative indirect function pollination against micro-organisms. Besides, some aggregates surrounded by microtubules, detected recognized as lipotubuloids. tapetum was type. Alkaloids widely distributed plant confirming important biological this type biomolecules its functional range. terpene polyphenol inclusions appeared particularly abundant epidermal layer, whereas close ovule ovary at maturity.

Proteomic profile of Piper tuberculatum (Piperaceae).
Piper tuberculatum (Piperaceae) is a species that accumulates especially amides as secondary metabolites and several biological activities was previously reported. In this article, we report a proteomic study of P. tuberculatum. Bidimensional electrophoresis (2D SDS-PAGE) and mass spectrometry (ESI-Q-TOF) were used in this study. Over a hundred spots and various peptides were identified in this...
متن کاملEthnobotany of the genus Piper ( Piperaceae ) in Thailand
Thailand is located in the tropical rain forest zone above the equator. This geographically supports very rich biodiversity, including the genus Piper (Piperaceae). Thirtyeight species of Piper, from out of over 1,000 species in the world, have been discovered recently (1998-2006) by the authors. Plant morphology and plant use information were recorded via observation, market surveys, and inter...

This paper describes the detailed anatomy and micromorphology of the vegetative parts of Piper sarmentosum Roxb. (synonym, P. lolot C.DC.), which is a southeast Asian medicinal plant valued for its medicinal and culinary uses. The study also compares the anatomy of the leaf, petiole, stem and root of P. sarmentosum with those of the well-characterized P. betle L. The leaves of both the species ...
متن کاملChemical constituents of Piper betle Linn. (Piperaceae) roots.
Column chromatography of the alcoholic extract of Piper betle roots furnished aristololactam A-II and a new phenyl propene, characterized as 4-allyl resorcinol, while the petroleum-ether extract yielded a diketosteroid, viz. stigmast-4-en-3,6-dione. All these compounds were characterized by spectroscopic means. Isolation of these compounds from this source is being reported here for the first t...
